Hi Everyone, I am a fairly new TVR owner. I have just bought a 96 Chimaera 500 which I am enjoying very much. Just a question though. Is it just my car, or the heaters in all cars awful. Mine varies in temperature between Hot and scalding hot. I understand the cars do have pretty high underbonnet temps, but surely this time of year it should be possible to get some kind of cool air from the fan??

Gav, it might be worth looking under the dash on the passenger side in the foot well.
Depending on what model you have you should be able to see the valve for the heater matrix by lying on your back looking up behind the dash.
Then get "her in doors" to move the hot/cold wheel on the dash and see if the valve moves.
Sometimes the control wire comes loose or bends back on itself and no longer controls the valve.
Also if it is working check that when the hot/cold wheel is pushed to the cold setting the valve is fully closing. IIRC there is some adjustment at the heater valve.
Hope this is of some help.
Cheers
Paul.
