no dash lights!

hi i ve just purchased a chimera an have no instrument lights ?, radio, heater controls are all fine and lit up but no rev, speedo, temp, fuel or clock lights can anyone point me in the right direction?

Welcome to the fold.

Have a look for the button under the dashboard to the left of the steering column (by your left knee.

how silly do i feel!, thankyou, serves me right i should read the handbook. that aside, my fuel gague is tempremental, sometimes it fails to read at all, (the needle doesnt move when the ignition is turned), then the next time it works perfectly? and ideas?

Loose connection at one end or the other! When mine did this it was a loose connection on the back of the gauge itself.
