First of all PLEASE DO NOT TALK IN CAPS! There is a caps lock key, you should have it off.

Ok, from what I understand the wiper worm drive is TVR specific, so if it is the drive, I'd contact TVR Power or TVR Car Parts. It may be worth taking the wiper motor apart to see if it isn't the gear inside that has lost teeth or something. Can you hear the motor going? Are you sure it's the drive?

The tapping is almost definitely a leaking manifold gasket. Only solution is to change it. A few hours work if you are hand with a spanner and have the correct tools.

Do you know exactly where this whining and gushing is coming from? Does it occur when the car is stationary, or just when the car is moving? This way you can eliminate the induction system.

Stupid question, but you have checked all the heaters and blowers are off and all vents are closed? Can you or your passengers feel a draft (I'm sure I spelt that wrong) when you are moving.

Does the whining sound mechanical? Does it change depending on what gear you are in? Does it happen in reverse?

No expereince of TVR Barnet, I can reccomend David Batty in Guildford, Austec in Crawley, TVR Power, Auto Medion, Leven, and Trackcar soluions.

hi there, the whinning noise happens on acceleration and sounds like its coming from the engine compartment and dies out when slowing. Its high pitched but not loud.It doesnt happen in reverse. The gushing of air sounds like it is coming from the engine compartment as well. The heaters are turned off,but it sounds like when i accelerate there is a gust of air coming inside but you can not feel it.thanks for info

Now if i print this off and show the missus do you think i could convince her that this is a fix for most problems on a chim.

how about getting the car up to speed and then knocking it in neutral to see if the wind noise stops...to be honest a draught is nothing to worry about, i get wind noise comming from the tops of both windows.

As fot the manifold gasket, very easy fix with the right tools and any garage should be able to do it.

Take it into Barnet, they will tell you where you stand. If anything expensive turns up, get a second opinion (and price) before you have it fixed.

If you prefer not to do the work yourself, you may want to try Tower View Race Services, they are near Brent X shopping centre.

Top people.

I'm no mechanic, but the whining noise could be your alternator on the way out.

Happened to me 18mths ago.
