Well, after 2 years of fun TVR ownership, tomorrow she's going to her new home.

So, what can I replace her with? Must have 4 seats and be upto £20K. DON'T SAY CERBIE - as I'll be tempted back!

So far, I've thought:

Audi S4 (4.2)
Monaro

Cheers.

Prolly be able to pick one up for about £18k with 60k on the clock and COMAND (satnav/entertainment system). All automatic though (albeit tiptronic, which is actually quite good). Mate the V8 to a decent exhaust (not the ultra quiet AMG exhaust) and you'll be laughing. I would, except I visit a lot of clients, so it remains quite quiet (until I press on).

Hey Rum - good to hear you sold it.

I test drove the Monaro yesterday (5.7). Just not sure.

Leon Cupra R. Revo it (270 bhp), and enjoy. Walk away with 5-10k still in your pocket.

Being fussy again. Not sure that car would have the noise.

I can see where you're going... No wooshy dump valve (the VT engine and owners hate them)... blueflame exhaust with it to liberate a few ponies and get some sound?

Jag XJR?

XJRs - very very fast - TVR speeds pretty much. But (awkward me again)..... just doesn't float my boat.
