I'm pondering where to mount a stick-on dipole aerial for a DAB radio. It's designed to go in the front window, but it would need cutting down a bit. And I'd prefer it out of sight.

What about inside the door?

Hi, I use the sticky pad type aerial on my cars, usually mounted just under the tax disc. You can get FM/DAB splitters like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Autoleads-DAB-F never used them (although will be shortly in my SD1) but would seem to do what you're after quite nicely.

Iain

Andy, just picked us this thread with the search, did you ever fit the DAB radio? If so what did you do for the aerial?

Cheers Andy

I fitted it inside the passenger door, stuck to the door 'skin'. I have the same antenna in the front screen of a Mitsubishi L200 pickup, both have the same Sony DAB radio. It works quite well, almost as well as in the pickup, although even that breaks up in certain areas.

I have used a Blaukpunt stick on aerial, but left it in its packet & positioned it in the void above the passengers footwell, seems to work fine, but need to get a proper test drive done to asses the results under variable reception conditions, oh the joys of a fibreglass body!
