Well almost a week, as I got it last Monday. First job after driving it back from Stroud (Glos) to Waterlooville (Hants) was a damned good clean inside & out. Clay bar & polish brought the paint up really well. Had to scrub the tops of the doors (inside) with a toothbrush to get the ingrained dirt off the ambla material. Stuck a few bits of loose carpet back. Had the drivers door card off, as it hadn't been fitted properly, and some wiring was dangling out of the bottom of the door. Tidied up the wiring while it was off. Next was the windscreen surround, which wasn't stuck down propoerly in places. I don't know who fitted the screen, but I'm sure I could have done a better job of attaching the seals myself. Next jobs will be adjusting the passenger side window frame, as it digs into the door seal too much, and some Steve Heath rear drop links; one of mine is doing very little, yet the car passed it's MoT just before I collected it! Had a look behind the passenger footrest. Did they really leave the factory with that mess of wiring & relays dumped on top of the battery? Utterly shameful & inexcuseable if so; this area will definitely be sorted.
Anyway, onto the driving bit. Well, nothing you don't already know really. Stunningly quick in a straight line, sounds & looks gorgeous. Driving around today just felt great, with people looking at the car as it went by. It's good to be driving the car that everyone else would like to be sat in instead of their euroboxes. Had an interesting play with a new Carrera 4S today; both of us took it in turns to be in front & nail it. Both cars were very evenly matched on acceleration up to er, 70ish, with neither pulling away from the other. But his cost £72K and mine was less than £11K (and sounded better). I guess I'm well & truly hooked.

Paul, the car looks great! Although mines a dark blue I do like the colour of yours. Welcome to the clan. I've only had mine a couple of months but have found the support of PHers a tremendous help and reasurance.

I've found that a small pot of Evo-Stick can be used to good effect re-fixing bits of trim and so on, so long as you're careful not to get strands of it in the wrong place!

I'm afraid the fuse box/battery/ECU arrangement is standard (and I suppose a credit to the components that they continue to work despite the poor protection they are given).

Nice car, and welcome to the fold... sounds like you have the measure of it already, i.e. keep cleaning and tweaking bits and bobs is a great way to spend your time.

PS... You also have the best colour!!
