Well I've finally decided to take the plunge in one of those 'if I don't do it now I never will' kind of moments. Thankfully the wife has been very understanding and gone along with the plane to replace the S-Type with a Chimaera.

So it's time to go shopping this weekend and see what I can find in the West Sussex/Surrey area. Budget of about 10-12k.

Been reading this forum for many years now so am fairly sure I know what I am going to be looking for, wish me luck!

Oh and if anyone wants to buy a 99 S-type with 80k on the clock in excellant condition for about £4,750 then let me know. Will put an advert on later when I get a chance to dig the camera out!

If my Chim didn’t need the following work done to it I would have gladly let you test drive and consider buying her as I’m in West Sussex.

I need to replace the rear screen (getting done next weekend)
Replace the carpets as TVR Gatwick didn’t seal the roof (Carpets on order)
And I need the speed sensor on the rear Axel cleaned as the speedo is intermittent
Oh and the exhaust gaskets are getting replaced this weekend (hopefully)

And of course I would regret it for the rest of my days.

I guess (as always) that prices at places like Fernhurst are negotiable, but is this even truer with the (possible) demise of TVR?
