Rear screen replalcement nr Posrtsmouth

Hello all, well happy with the Chim, but the rear screen has a tiny little tear in it, so would like to get it replace.

Does anyone know of anywhere nr Portsmouth that could do it, a reasonable job at a reasonable price? If too expensive will just live with it, as not too bad!

Can't speak for Portsmouth repairers but if you decide to live with it, and it isn't too bad, I saw a tip to use clear silicon sealant. I've used it on another car and it seems to hold up quite well - worth investing £3.99 from B&Q for a try.

I had a new rear screen fitted in Worthing which isn't too far from you. Mark Thomas was the trimmer who did it. Tel [phone], mob [phone]. £150. My insurance company agreed to pay for mine under my windscreen policy so only cost me £50. Took some persuasion but I argued that if it was glass they would replace it so why not! Good luck.

£150 is a good price, will have to give this place a call I reckon!

I took mine to Rawles last week (just off A31 nr Farnham). See www.austinhealeyspecialists.co.uk/. They did a fine job. £300 inc VAT. Brand new screen - I can actually see out the back now (should I ever have the top up).

I can thoroughly recommend them and if you like Austin Healeys, they have loads in the workshop.
