Just bought my first Chimarea 500 , very impressed but have no dipped beam. I have checked the fuse and relay but still no joy.Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome.

Not sure how related this would be for you & i have a grif but I had the same problem, where the switch would light up the dash & cig lighter but the diped lights would randomly turn off, and often I can't tell. This included the rear lights too.

Took ages to figure out, but the switch has 2 seperate circuts one for the lights and one for everything else, and was broken internally. Nice and cheap to replace!

Have you checked the lamps? Maybe both have failed - it's not that uncommon. Beyond that, can you hear the relay when you switch them on? If not, the problem may be the indicator stalk, which switches the lamps between dipped and main beam.

Presumably the main beam works ok? That would indicate a good earth at the lamps.

I have a similar problem - my offside dipped beam doesn't always come on though the sidelight is always OK. Switching the headlamps on to full beam and then back to dipped seems to cure it - guess it's a relay problem but I'm just going to live with it until the next service (and MOT!) come around.

Might be worth a try to see if this works for you.

All best,
Neville

Strange that they both went.
If it was me I would drive about for a bit in daylight with the dipped lamps on to check its not gonna happen again. Better to do this than discover on a dark night you've only got main beam and parking lights
