I know there has been lots of chat about this over the past couple of months, and i'm not re-opening the debate as i had them fitted last year. I have been happy with them, and they did transform the handling of the car. BUT - happiness being "relative", i would like to be sure that i am getting the best performance from the set up.

Apart from what settings to have the Nitrons at, there has also been mention of having the geometry checked/set correctly.

How do i go about doing this? Is there a reliable indie around Berks/Surrey who could do this for me, and what sort of price should i expect to pay?

Many thanks, David

Absolutely essential imo, the settings make all the difference, the right parts wrongly setup can be a nightmare.

I thought a geo check was on the service checklist?

Since the chassis is design allows components to slip when dinged... as well as general deterioration.

It is 6 & 12K, interesting how many cars are still miles out though.

Thanks Mike, given the above, and the fact that RG did my last service, i'll give them a shout.
Thanks for all of the replies chaps.

What settings do people generally have their Nitrons at for fast road driving?

Should the rear be softer than the front?

topcats racing near aylesbury set my car up and am very pleased. They race tvrs and are well known for their suspension knowledge; they corner weight it and set the ride heights according to driving style and they have access to a disused runway so can give the car a thorough test drive.

Thanks for that Lawrence. thumbup

Do you know what settings you have on your Nitrons?
I currently have 10 clicks (from stop going -ve) and 12 on the rear, but i'm not sure that this is the best combination.

I'll give Top Cats a call.
