ice warning light

Has anyone had a problem with the ice warning light staying on most of the time,thought when i bought the car 2 months ago that it was maybe set to come on a bit on the high side but cannot be right to be on when out over the bank holiday with the roof off

they are a waste of space and about as accurate as a chocolate watch. Best thing to do is locate the sensor head (usually dangling down in front of the radiator)it looks like a little round thingy on the end of a pair of wires, cut it off and join the wires together. This'll stop the light coming on

This light worked perfectly on my last 2 Chimaeras.

Have only just bought the Cerbera so not cold enough to test it.

I found it pretty handy to know the rough temperature range (i.e. to know when to expect ice on the roads), so if it was me I'd definitely have it fixed rather than disable it. But that's just me of course.

Mine works fine, seems a shame to disable it.

Mine also has started to flicker like a set of traffic lights. The replacement cost is minimal, get a new one.

folks, just don't rely on it please,it can be sub zero and not indicate an 'ice' warning
