Not yet got a copy of the bible, anyone know the routine in getting the oil pump removed on a pre-serp 400 chimaera? what if anything needs removing to gain access to pump, are the gaskets available from most independant motor factors? many thanks

Remove bolts that clamp base on - there are quite few of them all from underneath IIRC & it just drops off - dont let the gears fall out

Thanks Dave, I believe they are the instructions for priming the pump, im after instructions for removing the pump, have not had time to have a good look to see what im up against, just after some info before i start.

Sorry, fixed - its only a 15 minute job, worth cleaning up first tho.. & make sure you have spanners sockets that will fit the star heads (sorry cant remember what sizes - I think I use an old imperial socket)
