Hello, wonder if anyone can help me.

I have had my Chimaera 4000 for nearly two years now, and sort of - dare I say - falling out of love slightly. Rather than move up to a Tuscan or T350, I;ve decided to invest a grand and see if that rekindles the desire.

So - any ideas? Was sort of thinking new shocks and uprated brakes, maybe a sport exhaust? All ideas welcome!

Thanks in advance.

New Gaz Golds & Springs: £750-£800 fitted (and I'm sure you'll get a full GEO set up within that.

Straight through (sleeved) exhaust £80 (or Offords Cherry Bomb conversion £140)

Then see if you can get one of the local Zymol guys to just do a clay bar and polish for £100 on a slow week rather than the full works.

Hi

Why not get a couple of top-notch call-girls over for a romp in your Chimaera with you then everytime you get into it in future you'll bring back some saucy memories :+).

If there's any change buy a good polish/wax kit and enjoy 'car'essing your mistress:-).

Are they legal over your way,I think Carnage's proffession may put a dampner on it otherwise..

Hi

Well spotted there V8sag - I didn't know carnage was a cop. Forget my suggestion on how to spend a grand - he'll be getting those services free already from the local 'business women' :-)

Okay then save a few more thousands and get TVR Power to supercharge it - that should lift the spirits especially if he doesn't have to worry about speeding indiscretions! (Only joking carnage) :-)

couldn't agree with this more. I've had cherry bombs (£150) for 18 months now and love the sound. Also I have uprated black diamond grooved discs and pads all round (£280 fitted myself) and 2 weeks ago I had Gaz golds fitted (£720 inc fitting and geo) which have absolutely transformed the handling. It was getting a little tired and not fun to drive any more but the new springs have made a HUGE difference!

Also agree, I have had my car about a year now. Love it, but there have always been a few things I fancied getting done to it.

I am going down to Offords on Saturday to have the Cherry Bomb conversion. Car is then going in next week to have the Gaz Golds fitted and a full Geo set up. Next on the shopping list will be new brakes, as long as the girlfriend doesn't cotton on to how much I am spending. She wants a new bathroom, boring ....

Ha ha, thanks everyone for your superb tips. Especially the non car-related ones... I'm having a big service done at Offords in May, so I feel a quote for shocks and exhaust is the way forwards.

Thanks again all.
