Turned left then loud bang

Help please.
Turned left and the exhaust made a very loud bang then there was a lack of power. Came to next set of traffic lights, turned left and same again. The car still runs but I have no idea what the problem is.
Any ideas please?

Sounds like an inspection under the car at the backend is needed. Might not be too bad.

Jack it up on 4 stands and fire it up - will be obvious.

Sounds like it's contracted the Anticlockwise Explosive Syndrome. Try driving in only clockwise motion for a few days - although it might lengthen some of your journeys.
