Can some one tell me which way round the coolant hoses go onto the rail that is bolted down the side of the driverside rocker cover, looking for the rear positions that go to the hoses along the back of the engine into the heater in pass foot well.

Looking from the drivers side front wing, the top brass pipe joins the hose that goes through the passenger side inner wing front hole of the two. Hope this makes sense. However, they're just going through a heater matrix and back out again, so short of a bit of back flushing, I can't see it making too much difference.

You should always enter the heater matrix at the bottom. If you go in at the top and out at the bottom you may have problems with air locks.
