Hi

So i just joined the fold with a 96 stardust silver Chim 400. Black roof, full black and red leather. Offcourse being me I wont leave it alone, think i fancy a few cosmetic pamperings:

- it runs the standard wheels, think i'd like the wheels as fitted to the griff/500
- clear/smoked side repeaters? (not to chav tho!)
- clear/smoked front repeaters?
- options for exhaust

So thats the list so far, forgeting the zorst, the alloys will probably be the most expensive. So i was thinking of getting the repeaters doen first. As the car is silver they realy stand out and i think if they are available, smoked on the front would look lovely.

All recomendations/opinions greatly recvd

cheers guys
Ross

Cue more memorabilia auctions on e-bay? Well you cant drive in those shoes anyway - and the wig looks pretty naff also! Don't worry tho, the Griff boys will be frantically bidding.

First step with the exhaust - simply get any competent garage to open up the middle box, swap the perforated pipes for straight through (keep the wadding in as it will help stop any resonance or metallic type sound) then weld back up again.

This will give you a louder, deeper note and cost about £80!

Simply get a competent garage to REMOVE the box and replace with straight pipes nicer sound a big weight loss. Then remove pre-cats and if you are feeling very evil remove the main cat as well... hehe its the only way to go...!!!

I am also interested in clear side indicators , anyone know where I can get them with the appropriate bulbs. Is there any way of avoiding the "poached egg look" ?

Your local friendly Halfords should carry clear bulbs that nevertheless light up amber/orange.

Is it just a case of gently pulling the old ones . I assume they are self adhesive or clip on .
