Hi and welcome Paul1 wavey Have to agree with the earlier post....lovely clean looking example you've got there, in a colour I would have liked had I been able to find one at the time I was in the market yes Having said that Cooper Green comes a good second. Also, IMHO the Griff Estorils suit the Chimarea.

yes agree there. They fitted them to quite a few of the 500 Chims.

Thanks Lads. Im very happy with her for now. Though, ive been bored at work today so did a little photoshop to see what the Tiv would look like on another set off wheels i have sitting. And a slight drop. Promised myself i wouldnt do anything to this car but shocks and wheels are all reversible.

What do you think?

Absolutely hideous I'm afraid ... did you mean to make it look like a Hot Rod?

Purely subjective of course

I think it looks good, but that rear wheel is probably a 22". My Cerbera had 19" when I got it and looked great, but putting 18" Spiders back on it sorted the handling right out.

Haha, very controversial that was. All good healthy opinions though. Yes, i have probably over photoshoped the size as they are only 17's in real life. No harm in trying them on next month once im home from work again. The wheels are love them or leave them for most people.

Spyders are the real option but that does involve the 5 stud conversion. Still early days yet.
I don't want to ruin the handling thats for sure.

I'll have to admit, I hate pimped Chimaeras, I agree if you're going to get bigger wheels Spiders do look the best. I like TVRBOB's set-up (have I said this before? Deja Vu) BUT if you do get different wheels please let me know, I'll have those Estorils! I'm looking for some and torn between a second set for track days or using the 16" rears to have 16's all round :-)

Just leave it as is and spend your money and time making sure everything is right on the car and chassis before you spend money on fast and the furious looking nasty bits .
Whats wrong with original anyway , you go putting bigger wheels lower profile tyres drop in the weeds and harden it all up you will loose composure and create more wear( especially bushes ) and rattles and then the ride will mean a trip to the dentist every week.It looks a lovely car why spoil it , i am with the others ,don't do pimped Chim's.Its almost getting to the point of buying a DB5 Aston then blacking out the windows and putting a big fat round pipe pipe it and some sparco seat belt pads.
Pimping for ricers and 17 year corsa and saxo drivers, best you leave them to it .Also much easier to sell a stardard car.
By the way was the car in Devon as my you beat my mate to it if so.

Yeah, i was just bored at work and wondered what it'd look like. Every car looks better with bigger wheels. I promised myself i wouldn't get carried away with this one. The Estorils wont be for sale im affraid sorry. No the car wasn't from Devon. It was from Kent a few years ago but i bought it up here in Aberdeenshire.

On another note, where would be the best place to get a replacement alternator and belt from? Landrover?

TIA

Right, seeing how most of you didn't really fancy the last set of wheels i chose to try on my Chimaera, how do you find these. These are the same style wheels i have on my Corrado and they are not Chav so no cheek, ok. Anyway i have ordered a set of these from Germany already so they will be going on. The are only 17" wheels so they wont feel to harsh a ride. This is a photochop by the way...
