Got mine from this guy. The cover was great but some little toe rag nicked it.

I used a Cover Craft for a few years. Very good, very waterproof and very wind-resistant due to its weight and decent retaining straps. Much better than the one I bought from Coverzone (if anyone's thinking of buying a CZ cover, feel free to PM me).

There's a review of the Cover Craft jobbie here:

i can vouch for the moltex outdoor car cover, code SS (for a chim) from www.hamiltonclassic.co.uk its about £110 all in, with quick delivery.

its easy to put on, is elasticated, has holding straps, has breathable fabric (no condensation), uv protective and can be put on the car when wet. it also comes with a carry bag.

There will be uncertainty as most people only only buy 1 cover for the car.

I use the same as Fergs. It takes 5 mins fitting it to the car, it does exactly as described and my car sits outside all the time next to a very dusty road. I take the cover off and the car is dry and shining (I'm a polish freak). So do recommend it.

Seconded - I had a covercraft cover , very expensive and leaked in anything but the lightest of rain - but then they did point out when I complained that they dont claim its actually weatherproof on their website.

The hamilton cover doesnt fit as neatly but its waterproof and breathable with a nbice soft underside. Been using it for about 18 months now with no side effects.

Hi

I've tried them all over the years.

The Leven Hood Cover is excellent - it covers all the joints, etc. at door tops, bonnet and bootlid and will not leak. Does not move about when it's windy like full covers therefore no chaffing on the paintwork.

Easy to fit and remove - can be stored in the boot in its bag when not in use.

Costs 150 pounds but there are always some for sale S/H on ebay and PH or Sprint.

I've had a Covercraft cover for my Griff and it's been absolutely fine - no leaks, water or anything has got through it's very light. The only downside has been that in really high winds it lifs off the ends .... oh, and the cost of it new - that was definitely a downside.

Have been in communication with Hamilton covers, but there is some confusion over size. Hoped somebody with the cover could advise.

They are recommending an SL (Sports Large) but many people on here (including Chim Pages) recommend a SS (Sports Small).

I gave the following dimensions: Length: 4015mm Width: 1963 (inc. mirrors) mm Height: 1205mm

There response:

"At 4015mm the sport small should fit, however I would question the width, the MG which the cover is designed for is 1520mm and your car is wider at 1963mm which is why we advise the sport large."

Any advice?

Thanks

Definitely the SS is the right size Moltex for a Chim. Had mine for over a year and no problems whatsoever ... fits snugly and the straps keep it on nicely in high winds.

If anyone wants one, mines up for sale. Never been used (or even taken out of the bag) just decided that I don't want it now. I live in London so if anyone wants to make an offer before I stick it on ebay then please feel free to email me. Its the Moltex one and is SS size from Hamilton Classic.
