Very nice colour combination, I got blue/magnolia interior, but wanted the sort of interior on this car. Is it in as good condition as it looks?
Seems to be a well cared for car! masses of bills and all TVR centre, drives nice, only problem is a judder from the steering when braking hard from speed! feels like warped disks?
Cant wait

There's much debate and many theories about the 'warped disks' thing. Basically, it's more likely to be the result of a build-up of brake material on the disk increasing the friction at that point on the rotor, giving you the judder.
The simplist remedy is to replace the disks, although some have said the deposit may eventually wear off. Give it a month or so if you can, and then decide what to do.

Presuming that this is a disc problem, you may be right, but IMHO I think I'd get a competent mechanic to give any potential brake problem the once over before I drove a high performance car for a couple of months or so to see if it resolves itself.
Hope you enjoy it.....I have only had mine about a month.....and it is a joy to drive (also a 5.0)!!! I have always had fast cars, but most were turbocharged, the torque on the Chim is great!!!
As for the brakes, as you know, it is not like a Cerb, the brakes are off another car etc...so a lot easier to fix or replace if required. (The parts situation and running costs were what made my mind up for a Chim, but in a year or so I fancy a Cerb!!).

Not as nice as this one, which, you'll notice, is in the fastest available colour and will be running perfectly following its service at Austec on Monday.... plus the current owner's a great guy

Just make sure that the rear roof section goes down a lot further than it does in those pics! It looks like our Max's Silver Cross pram in that photo!
I've never really managed to get mine further down than that, always gets stuck about there so I normally don't bother anymore, just leave the back part of the roof up. How do you get it to go down further ?? Stand on it ??
think its not happening now chaps! so fed up. blokes not returning my calls or emails to sort out arrangements to go and do the deal. Cancelled all my pupils lessons for the day so could get it, thats cost me a few quid. Not sure i want to do business with anyone like that! could have let me know either way. Im off to sulk now!lol. Cheers all, Lee

You'll find the hood goes down further if you undoe the Velcro 'ears' inside and out on each side (just behind the door frame) as appears not to have been done in the original photo.
Lee, sorry to hear that you're being messed around. Good luck with your next viewing.

Well here are two Chims just plucked from the classifieds, both with roofs that go down a lot further ...
although even so, the Griff roofs seem to go down even further still.

That's annoying....there's no need to not return your calls, even if he's sold it to someone else he could have the decency to let you know!
It also works the other way.
I had my car up for sale for a few months at the beginning of this year, and had three promises to turn up to view from individuals, only to fail to arrive...and none of them bothered to phone, not even an email, no apology....nuffink
I eventually got so fed up with calls from time-wasters asking silly bloody questions and even sillier offers that I decided to keep it (that decision also coincided with the arrival of decent sunny weather!)
:rant over: Time for a coffee I think
