I just got a quote to replace the rear window but they want to see the car first.

The reason I’m asking is that this company will attempt to do the job themselves but I would like to know what’s involved so I don’t get stung.

Ignorance is not bliss when you own a TVR….. scratchchin

The job entails removing the rear hood from the car - this can be a right PITA if the nuts/bolts are corroded, removing the struts, disconnecting the interior light wiring, removing the seal, removing the rear GF section from the hood material, removing the hood material from the hoop section, removing damaged rear window, sewing in a new window and then reversing the whole process.

Can take anything from 3 hours to 8 hours depending on the state of the connectors, etc. This is why they want to see the car to make an informed judgement on the time required. Many upholsterers insist that you remove the rear hood from the car to avoid all the hassle.

Thats a bit of a wishy-washy estimate J, to be more accurate it could take anything from 30 minutes to 30 days hehe
