No, they fitted fine (front and rear). You do need to take some time to ensure they're properly aligned, bearing in mind how they are going to move when in use. Try to get the rod eyes perpendicular to their mounting bolts, so that in operation they can tolerate a reasonable amount of side-to-side or twisting movement without binding (and potentially snapping).

Bought some a while back, got Perry at the V8 Centre to fit them as I didnt trust myself with the spanners. Best upgrade I have ever fitted (well so far anyway ) to the chim. Transformed handling, no probs with them at all.

My front set snapped off - but Steve refunded my money and found the cause to be a set of faulty rose joints I think...nice chap tho...back ones are still on and no probs so far

Bit fiddly to install correctly, just take your time and experiment with different combinations of washers. As the clear instrcutions provided tell you, make sure that they are free to rotate. I was very impressed with the improvment in steering response.

Had them fitted at an Indie, snapped after 4 0r 5 months, sent them back but was told that it must have been the garages fault.

i had a front joint which was faulty from new, to be fair Steve replaced it witout quibble. It has to be said though, that these joints have earnt a reputation for being 'chattery'

.

your better off making your own,or at least buying the fronts from demon tweeks,in my humble opinion.

The only bit I don't understand, is when people say "they totally transformed the handling"
Maybe its me, but I can't really see how they can do this

They make a huge difference if the original bushes are shot. With shot bushes the ARB does nothing for the first few degrees of roll and then comes in suddenly. With the ARB rigidly connected it starts working immediately the car starts to roll so it is more predictable and more effective.

Mine isn't a "Steve Heath" setup it's one I made myself many years ago using good quality PTFE linered bearings, but the principle is the same. It's one of the reasons the car handles as crisply as it does, but I wouldn't say it transformed the handling.

That's not a reputation that I've heard before. Steve is not the sort of person to cut engineering corners and I'd be very surprised if he used or supplied inferior components. If you have any problems I'd suggest talking to Steve himself as the first step and I'm confident he will resolve them promptly.

I think that just about sums up the situation, if you have a problems with any of the components that Steve Heath supplies, then I humbly suggest that you take it up with him in person.

PH is not the place to air your grievances with any supplier, as this may cause legal ramifications to the owners of the site.
