Has he put a Griffith front on a Chim? He seems to have made a good job of things so far as he has gone if those pics of the 'wreck' are of the same vehicle!

Aside from the engine and the natty chrome strip along each sill, it doesnt look too bad. Would be interesting to see what the finished front looks like...

If you have a look at the rear quarter it is a Chim, but he has already started putting a different front on it!
I'm not sure about it personally.

LOL,... I think the Clingon's have had there evil way with it!

Maybe the young boy comes with it! Maybe he pushes when it packs in.

If you want to see any photos then e-mail me

Wish it were as easy to upload photos as it was to rebuild the front

I suppose those in the know will know my dream car

OK 289 put us out of our misery! Where does the front end come from? And was it originally a Chim?

Looking at the finish now (presuming this is the same car as on your profile) you have made quite a job of the bodywork!

A BIG job over the years to get the thing up and running.

Front end is all homemade.

Wood, metal, plastic visqueen , water pipe for the wheel arches and lots of cataloy made up a buck and then I took moulds from this lot. The new panels were then made and bonded onto what I bought from the breakers..

I made two bonnets, one with air vents and the other without. Summer and winter was the idea.

If it doesn't sell then the back half will be discarded and a Morgan type of rear end will be fitted.

Might upset a few of the lads on here but I think the Chimaera front end could do with a little upgrade. TVR tried to freshen it up so why not me!

mmmmmmmmmmm

The engine in my project has a new Weber 500carb but I also was thinking of fitting a Holley Pro-jection unit instead of the carb. Has anyone tried this injection? It is simple to install and far better looking than the Rover.
