Hi Jules,

I use autoglym bodywork shampoo conditioner, dry thoroughly, and then autoglym ultra deep shine polish... easy to apply and works for me. I also tried the autoglym soft top cleaner, which again works well.

I am using Meguires Gold Class shampoo and Gold Class Wax...it comes up a treat and the wax doesn't need to much elbow and there isn't all that white dust residue you get with some waxes yes

I still have a bottle of super resin polish which I stopped using once I discovered the carnuba wax based products. with the carnuba wax stuff you get none of that white stuff you continually have to shake off the cloth, just wax and polish.

I use meguiars sponges to put the polish on (because I had some of their stuff too) and a couple of microfibre cloths to polish off.

Does it work? well, I dropped spots of fibreglass gelcoat on the wing and didn't notice it until it had dried, but it picked off easily enough, so I reckon it does biggrin

Go the full hog, clean, then clay the car, use P21 carnuba wax and get a good finish !Moved away from Autoglym years ago.

P21s is excellent. But they do a motorbike version called S100. Its exactly the same stuff (confirmed by manufacturer), but its cheaper than the car version P21s.

I did my Chim recently and its the business. Surprisingly ease to use as well.

In my opinion, don't bother with clay, just get the S100 shine enhancing cleaner, and the S100 carnauba wax and follow the instructions.

The stuff is available from most Harley Davidson dealers.

You will not be disappointed.
