New Chim owner

I love this car! It's a 1997 4.0 and I can't seem to get the smile off my face. Thanks for all the help and advice everyone has contributed here.



I just had a new rear window installed by Dee at Softtops in Croydon and it looks absolutely stunning, what a difference.



Now for the Leven bits and clear indicators . . .

I'm not a fan of clear repeaters but they'll look great on your car due to it being silver. (welcome btw)

I pick up my 450 Chim on Saturday after 16 years of driving Jags and I can't bloody wait!! It seems to have taken for ever to get the right one and then there was work to be done (chassis prep, waxoyl, new battery, new tyres etc) and that seems to have taken for ever to do as well! The next will be the levens bits and a day with an instructor (so that it doesn't bite me on the harris when least expected!) and I shall be a fully fledged Tivvy owner.

I pulled into work this morning and got a cup of coffee with my boss and he says some idiot in a "silver Miami Vice car" flew past him on the way to work . . .somehow my smile keeps getting bigger.


Anyone know where I can get a cheap car cover for the work parking lot?

I have just got my 500 Chim. Had it around a week. I LOVE THESE CARS!!!!!!
Driving down the high street, mothers instinctively reach to protect their children as I thunder into view, grown men stand unashamedly oggling (at least I THINK that's what they're doing!)and girls react in a similar way to on the Lynx advert!
I have seen people wind down their windows as I go past just to enjoy the sound. What a fantastic machine. The best buy I have EVER done! (Thanks S5TVR)
I'll be listing a brilliant brand-new Chimaera cover on ebay as soon as I get the photos done. (I use the same name on ebay.)
