I went out for the first time in a couple of weeks on Sunday and noticed the clutch was very low to the floor, it seemed to get lower through the drive and selecting gears was difficult.

Is my clutch on the way out, if so how much will that hurt?

Check the level of clutch fluid in the reservoir. This happened to me and i found it was almost empty! A seal on the slave cylinder was the culprit - so not too expensive smile
Good luck

I had the same problem. Bled the clutch, solved it. You dont need a bleed kit. I used a bit of wood to hold the pedal down when wedged against the steering wheel. The just top up the resevoir and bleed the slave cylinder and top up again.

If you have it on ramps, remember to chock the rear wheels cos having it in gear wont help as the clutch is down. Sounds obvious but wouldnt like to be partly responsible if you squashed your head.

If you need any more detail get back.
