I've got it - a few questions from a novice
Discussion
Well I've got it!! (See First Timer message)
Few questions
1. Reading the manual and it say's that should the doors not open there is a manual overide in the boot. So how do you open the boot if you cant open the doors??
2. Gear shift skirt is cracked in a few places - can I get a replacement?
3. SO2's on the front and SO3's on the back - is that OK?
4. What should I look out for ie oil temps, coolant temps etc?
5. Any mods that are a must? ie battery charger, boot release, fan override?
6. Got a lovely photo, how do I insert it into this?
Looking forward to the support you all give! Many thanks in advance. Off for another drive, sod the cold miserable weather - the roofs coming off!!

1 Ar well that's a secret.
2 No idea
3 Tyre combination OK but keep the rears 2psi lower than the book says
4 All sorts, just keep your eye on things in general and keep true to the service schedule.
5 Quality trickle charger. Flat bats are to be avoided. Leave the fan alone just make sure it triggers at 90/95 C
6 The site has help for uploding your photo
7 Welcome to the team. Hope you find time to partake of an event or two.

I believe that you can get them from TVR dealers (not done it myself but see www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=5402&f=8&h=0&hw=gaitor - further down the thread)
Cheers and well done on the purchase!!
Phil.
Fan override at least(the otter switch No1 failure) two stage cooling will benefit every car. Boot entry without going inside, nice, but hardly essential.Trickle charger, not had problems but many swear by them. Then we go to Leven and ACT,Zertec etc.

Welcome Grahame,
I've had fitted the optimate charger and a remote boot release, with the fan over-ride being next on the list. Don't know if any are vital, but any help in maximizing time on the road
and minimizing dissapointment
must surely be taken.
