Hi.... been to look at a few Chims. now because very intrested in getting one. But yesterday when driving home from looking at a fantastic Green 400HC I thought to myself where the Hell is the battery situated? For the life of me I can not remember seeing it? I know it's stupid but please could someone help. I really don't want to look stupid if I go back and look again and then have to ask.... Thanks if anyone reply to my amature question.

There isn't one. The car is anti-eco and does not run on batteries :-)

I had to ask this question myself a few weeks ago. It is down in the passenger footwell, behind the fuse box. And yes, it is a stupid place to put it.
And it is even more of a sodding pain in the arse to change!!!!!!!

Had my Chim 2 1/2 years and sat in the passenger seat for a while whilst my mate drove for the first time only a couple of weeks ago. God how uncomfortable is it? Can't stretch your legs out, can't raise them up due to the height of the dash etc.
No wonder my 6ft mate was moaning and complaining all the while during 3000 miles of constant driving over a week on last years Furball.

The car is fine, simply trade you mate in for a shorter one.

Not a stupid place, just a VERY awkward place. smile

With the battery inside the car, it isn't exposed to the elements or the heat of the V8 - not that V8s generate much heat smile

It merely aids in the corrosion of the heater pipes.. .. ..

You're obviously doing something wrong - I changed mine at the weekend and it was my back that suffered lifting a heavy battery box down the footwell.

If it's causing a pain in you're arse, how exactly are you trying to fit it? smilesmile

Don't forget to ask how you get IN and OUT of the Chim.

Has anyone on here moved to battery to the boot for easyer access?
A few people have done this, but i'm sure there would be an issue with getting the roof panel in.

I just love the bit where you've arrived at the destination and the passenger starts scratching the door trim, opens the ashtray, pokes their hand into the door well and then looks at you in a confused manner confused The smarter the passenger, the longer it takes them to admit defeat whistle
