Urgent HELP needed - Boot stuck shut!

Hi Folks,

The ****ing boot on my Chimaera has stuck shut just now.
It worked fine ten minutes ago - when I was loading up at Sainsburys!!!!
Now I've got a couple of bags of frozen food melting in the back.

I can hear something click softly when I press the button but its not enough to actually open.

I know that anyone 'in the know' isn't going to post info on this in the thread but I would really appreciate a PM or even a call on 0777 157 2538.

9 years and I've never actually needed to know this before.

Do you clean and oil it regularly? If not it might have just become a bit stuck, try some wd40 and a bit of a wiggle...If not then maybe the solinoid has gone in which case I have no idea

The bit I didn't mention is that its a brand new lock that was fitted 3 weeks ago!

Just a thought it may be misrigged can you get someone or something to put a bit of weight on the lid while you push the release

Held the boot down with one foot while reaching for the button

I had already tried that one. Seems to be a Grif only feature

What age is you chim as the later ones have a manual overide to the electric opener that you can get at from outside the car( not sure about the earler ones as never looked on my 95 one)
