Failed MOT for the first time......Fog Light

Gutted, it never fails but it just failed the MOT on rear fog light.

Tried new bulb while at the centre but no joy. Head Lights on switch illuminates but no joy. Before getting home after work and gripping the Bibile, does anyone know if this is on a fuse?

Your main beams wern't on were they? My foglight goes off if the main beam is on....

No, though I've just nipped out and re tried it main and dipped mode still no joy.

After much on this the problem has been sorted !!

Took out the rear fog light fiiting and fitted new bulb but still no joy . However by chance when moving the wires it flickered on and off .

Seemed like the problem lay inside the rubber sleeve on the light unit itslef. So drilled out the rivets and withdrew the bulb holder. Eureka there was the bullet connector and wire slipped out of its holder. Pushed back in, making sure a tight fit re rivet holder into housing screw back on to light unit and working.

Back for MOT re test tomorrow, what a numpty
