Driving into the garage yesterday, the "sports exhaust" sounded a little louder than I recall. Quick look under the bonnet and found the nearside exhaust clamp (manifold to Y) was hanging off - the threaded part had snapped about 5mm from the fixed end, but that whole area looked worn so I guess it's just age (and heat).

Got another one on order, but will having a gap there whilst it was running have damaged the lamda sensors? I guess the excess of air will have screwed up the fuelling whilst it was running like that as well.

Can't say I'm looking forwards to fitting the new clamp as there is a slight gap (horizontal and vertical) and neither manifold or Y piece want to move - looks like a ratchet strap job........

Mine has just snapped on me, that was the final nail in the coffin, Had a blowing manifold since i got the car so decided to do it on weekend, One manifold bolt snapped off in the head and the other was that siezed i had to grind the head of, both were the ones at the back that are a night mare to get at, After all this finally got her back together today, all that was left to do before i went out on this nice sunny day was fit that clamp on the y piece and it hat to happen, one turn to many and it was all over for another day.
Gutted!
Where could i get one fast as i want to get back out there

Just done my manifolds and used locktite flange sealant. Worked well and does not harden. Available from halfords.
