I've had a new dash veneer (lower panel) floating around the car since I bought it (dealer was meant to do it before I collected it rolleyes) and finally got around to starting the job today.

Thing is the new panel doesn't have any of the brackets fitted. Now taking them off the old one is no big deal (though lining up the securing screws is going to be tricky) but is this normal?

Yes, this is normal - a bit of araldite is required - make sure you line them up correctly!

Oh tell me about it.

I knew those mini spring loaded grips would come in handy one day.
