Door will not Open

My passenger door will not open from the outside anyone have any idea's at what is the most common fault here and where to look first as I am sure there are many parts that can be bought and prob only one needed lol

It sounds as if your solenoid is sticking (i had a sim. problem)

Sorry I forgot to say it was working up until i washed the car then it stopped, if that might shed any light for anyone

slightly off topic, what colour is your car... mines similar and I can't find a paint match, all it says in the manual is magenta?

I had the same problem with mine it was the solonoid you can get them from maplins if you press the button under the wing mirror and it doesn't open its the two wire sol the part numbers are
YD79L 2 wire
YD78K 5 wire

Hi thanks for all the help. Red the colour of mine is called Rouge Mandarin but when I went to get the stone chips touched up it took nearly a month to fine it and it turned out to be a citron ICI colour look under the bonnet on the pannel on the drivers side it will show the paint colour code there

Ok it wasnt the solenoid coz both inside the panel are working fine so it has to be from the door button to the solenoid so any ideas i know it must be the button or the wire but is it something I can do with out a costly book in

If you have taken the solenoids out you will see the coat hanger wire at the top which is connected to the button you should be able to see if it has come out.
Mines the button on the rear wing BTW
