Not a Chim but the same engine nonetheless - Andy Hills (mr Sheen) mint V8S, sure he won't mind me showing his car off for him. -

These pictures should have an engine bay porn warning! I usually manage to clear the

You like the look of it then? biggrin

Yep we are all well thanks for asking.
Unfortunately we haven't installed an intercooler to a 4ltr yet so we don't know the exact costs and setup.
But I'd imagine there would be a very easy 20 to 30HP gain but could possibly be more than that.

How much nicer would that have looked with curves instead of sharp corners?

Never mind that, how close do the pipe runs get to the Y-piece? Intercooler? Interwarmer at slows speeds methinks.

You could usefully put some lagging around that to keep the exhaust heat away - but after the photos, because it does look very nice and shiny like that. (Just seemed a bit out of character to see those ugly sharp bends in what is otherwise a very nice tidy installation.)

Thought you might like to see these pictures with lagging for the intercooler pipes and air flow meter.

http://www.sc-power.co.uk/Lagging%201%20800.html

http://www.sc-power.co.uk/Lagging%202%20800.html

http://www.sc-power.co.uk/Lagging%203%20800.html

The pipes still work fine without the lagging though, if your sitting in traffic then in doesn't matter if the air gets any hotter but when you flying round a circuit the air speed in the pipes is just too fast to absorb any extra heat.

There are formed pipes on offer but I've spoken to a few people who actually prefere the look of the fabricated ones. I'll post some pictures of the formed pipes soon.
