Planet-tvr shows the Chimaera width as 1865mm and the Griff as 1943mm BUT everyone I speak to tells me the Griff is smaller. Which is right ? Can anyone tell me the ACTUAL width of the two ? You see, I have to own one or the other and want it to fit in my garage. Thanks.

Was all ready to reply then read the bit about actual dimensions. Can't help there straight away.
Suffice to say the Chimaera is longer, wider, shorter, and far better looking.

So, so brave after a couple of bottles of fine Rioja.

Edited to add: I'm still right though.

Why don't you test drive 'em to your garage?
Personally I think they're the same width...

Planet-TVR is my site and I can't remember if I got the measurements from the manuals or from the old TVR Engineering site. They are both quoted as including mirrors, but hey if a TVR can't fit in your garage then nothing bigger than a Corsa will. All you can be certain of is that the Chimaera is 2 inches longer.

Griff4*

It seemed a dumb question I know, the problem wasn't so much whether the car would fit in the garage it was more whether I would have room to haul my carcass out of it once it was there. The site I just looked at says width 69in and height 74in !!

Suggest that either the tyres are over-inflated or it's just run over an elephant.
