Exhaust manifold gaskets

I think I may have yet another set blowing, I have had both manifolds 'faced' in the past year and have had new studs fitted but still they seem to blow. Are there better quality/different gaskets avaible?

No problem,just remenber to nip up the bolts ater a couple of hundred miles.

Will do, I have never heard of Reinz, are their gaskets the metal type?

No,but they are quality items by a high quality manafacturer,i can not say if their better or worse than the steel ones,the port match is good too.

The later LR steel gaskets have an 'imtumiscent'? bead bonded in between the strips which expands to fill any gaps. That is how they get a seal with 2 bits of thin metal I was told. Mine were fine anyway, and they had some very good reports from the LR folks.

Are the landrover 4.6 smaller ports?I had to reem my gaskets to suit.
Also gave my head bolt holes a quick tap,could finger turn the bolts untill the last nip,putting back manifolds has never been such a pleasure.
