I wonder whether anyone can help.

I had my alarm changed a while back, prior to that the fuel pump kicked in everytime the ignition lights came on. However, since the alarm was changed intermittently it sometimes doesn't and turning the key in the ignition would remedy the problem.
On a few occassions at petrol stations this has failed to work, but waiting 20mins seems to work! The dealer said initially the pump doesn't come on all the time as the system is already pressurized with petrol. The connections and fuses have all been checked and are ok.

Now the pump isn't coming on at all, and after turning the ignition off a buzzing can be heard from the dash for a second or two.

Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this problem. Is it linked to the immobiliser causing problems, trying the key fob to deactivate the immob has not worked.

Frankly that's nonesense, the pump should run for about two seconds every time you switch on. The other noise you can hear when you switch off will be the idle control stepper motor on the back of the plenum - nothing to do with your fuel pump problems. Sounds to me as if your imobiliser isn't workking correctly, or you have a wiring fault. (The imbecile who 'fitted' mine left dry joints all over the place and it caused all sorts of problems after a few months.)

Cheers

I guess it's going to be back to the dealer courtesy of the AA. The alarm should still be under warranty.
