My Chim has developed a strange noise coming from inside the boot.
The best way that i can describe it is if you put your lips together and suck slowly.....if that makes sense.

Its not causing any problems and it does it two or three times on every journey. It does not matter whether the tank is Full, Empty or partially full.

Yesterday i noticed it as i was accelerating up a slip road from a roundabout.

Im thinking that it could be the fuel pump and im fairly certain that its coming from the rear nearside.

Does anyone have any ideas or should i just live with it (not too much of a problem) until the symptoms get worse and the problem is easier to identify.

Is it the tank venting?

Just a guess...

Unscrew the petrol cap to the middle semi-lock position
and see if that cures the problem. If it does then I agree tank venting.
If it doesn't then mmmmmmhh!

Sounds like a fuel pump type noise to me - mine got really loud and needed replacing a few years ago. The fuel pump is located on the chassis under the tank, inside the rear wheel.
