Hi,

All my stitching is rotting near the hood so I can either get it restitched or buy a new one. Whats the best option?

Also, Where in Yorkshire (ideally as close to East Yorkshire as possible) can this be done? Any companies / phone numbers etc.

Thanks

Darren

I damaged mine once which resulted in torn stitching above the rear screen.
I was lucky that someone pointed me to a good local repair workshop.
The guy stitched through the previous stitching holes so when finished you couldnt see the repair...apart from the new thread that faded within a short while.
Point being it was a lot cheeper than a new hood.
I am in the Cheshire area and so too far away.
Good Luck.

Where abouts in Cheshire did you get it done? I'm near Macclesfield and so far the closest place I've found to stitch in a new rear screen is a place in Huddersfield.

Sandbach. Forgot the name of the workshop so will call my wife and let you know.
He was good. He had a Couple of RR Corniches in amongs others.
Think he was an ex RR from Crewe.

Try this place... in Harrogate, which might be nearer. Spoke to him last year and seemed very good, reasonable price. Unfortunately I shortened my Chim to something more the size of a Spitfire before I got round to replacing the hood.
