Waxoil frequency?

If I had a full chassis clean and waxoil 14 months ago, and only have done 3000 dry miles since then, is it normal for it to be needing it done again?

It hasn't been done yet but it was flagged as needing it on the garage report where I take it. I queried that is was only last year but they thought it was two years ago, I checked last night and it was done at last year's service.

It should be done once a year, preferably just before winter.

Have a good look at the chassis, it should still have a good waxy layer over all over it. The stuff will wash off in water spray areas, and goes white and hard over time, if either are noticed time for a new coat. Also if there is any fresh corrosion.
