Has anyone fitted a remote oil filter, if you where did you find the best place to mount the remote assembly?

Iain

Edit: Sorry just had brain fade, meant Remote Oil Filters in the title, could a friendly mod change it?

Have a look at the first of the pictures posted by Pete on this thread Chassis 33. I know its not quite the same being a different engine and all but the idea must be the same.

Out of interest why do you want a remote oil filter.

Because on the Chimmy I change the oil before every race weekend and it's less hassle to have one easily accessible than "under" the car. Also the sandwich plate for the oil cooler is about a inch thick, and a standard length oil filter clashes on the chassis so I'm forced to run a bit of a stubby oil filter. Also with the current setup the oil cooler gets fed unfiltered oil, by having a filter in line before the cooler it will help prevent crap getting stuck in the cooler if there is an issue with the engine. Given the regularity of oil changes it shouldn't have any clogging issues, however...
