I reckon the grille arrangement on the pre-facelift cars is pretty poo and I'm wondering if there's a funkier / more user-friendly alternative out there. Leven used to do a really smart grille in black or silver but I was too late to get one. ;-(

Has anyone purchased an aftermarket grille or made their own? How've you dealt with the numberplate? Links / names and numbers and photos very much appreciated.

Thanks!

Yes I modified my front grille:

No. Plate below the grille.
Cut out diagonal stays & replaced with thinner, removable alloy strips. With the diagonals removed you have plenty of room to get into the wings to access lights/filter/carbon can... wink
Shrouds made up to get airflow thru rad instead of wings.
Grills made up steel mesh for summer and tuscan style holy version for winter (6 screw fitment for either).
Cut holes in undertray for additional air flow (most later cars seem to have this ~ not just the ones with oil coolers). Of course mandatory splitter to stop air 'falling out' of this extra facility.
