Golden Balls

Hi all,earlier today I found 3 ball bearings on the garage floor underneath the Chim.They are approx 8mm diameter and were found towards the back of the car.Does anybody know if these could be off the Chim and where from ?Last time I used the car I went past the site of an accident and there was debris all over the road (I had to remove a set screw from my rear tyre) so I'm hoping the balls are from the front end of a Fiat Punto that have fallen out of the tyre treads when they cooled down.The car behaved as normal but I haven't yet had time to have a good look under the car,thanks John.

After stripping a few of these cars to the bones, Iv'e never come across any 8mm ball bearings.

Could they be CV joint balls?
