think i might hae worded it a bit wrong...what i am after is the crank position sender...the output you would want for the ecu...

i have just got to paint my car and then i am putting it back together and i am thinking of treating it to a megasquirt...

On our set ups , there isnt one, to use an aftermarket ECU like MS or Emerald you would have to add it.
The popular mod is a ford 36-1 wheel sandwiched in the crank pulley and a sensor mounted to suit.
Most seem to use bosch 2x4 coil packs or the RR 4x2 packs.

dont mean to be thick as this is the first time i have looked into this so it is a bit of a steep(ish) learning curve. I take it you mean the crank pulley where the timing marks are???
and then just mount a bracket of some description to hold the sensor.
makes sense... smile

You need to speak to these guys....

http://trigger-wheels.com/store/index1.html

They now do everything you need, coil packs, brackets, plug lead, crank sensor and bracket, trigger wheel. Everything besides the Megasquirt box itself.

The MS conversion + coil packs will absolutley transform your engine. Super smooth and crisp and a bit more power too!
