Reversing Light - Any Advice

With the MOT due next Saturday, I note the reversing light is not working. Having changed the fuse without any change - can anyone suggest where I start?

Is there a common problem eg sender, typical loose wire scenario before it becomes an industry in itself to resolve ?

Erm, is the reversing lamp checked in the MOT? I'm pretty sure it isn't.

Reversing light isn't a MOT requirement. Purely a convenience aid.
