I am a new owner of a a 95 400 with digi mileometer, the previous owner let the battery go flat and it has wiped the original mileage off, it is working and clocking up the miles as normal now, is worth getting recalibrated or leave alone, any advice welcome

Cheers

I think there is an internal battery to keep the odometer reading when the car battery is flat or removed. If you lost the reading once it is likely that the battery has failed.
If you have lost your reading once it is probable that you will lose it again unless you have this replaced.
Unless you have odometer reading corrected before it is next MOTed then all future HPI checks will show a mileage discrepency, if it doesn't already. Make sure that any change that shows up on the HPI check like that is fully documented. When you come to sell it this will help.
When I came to buy mine it had the same instruments as yours. The battery in the odometer was replaced some years ago by TVR and all the documents were present to show this and the true milage.
Without this I would have looked at the HPI check and bought a different car.
