Don't be fooled. They are SO2's not SO2pp's, they are a harder compound. Sorry to spoil the moment but I had some of these a few years back and found they were bl00dy awful on wet or green roads. I disposed of mine after a few months and fitted Toyo's instead. Toyo T1-R (with a couple of psi over book pressure) is as close as you can get the glory days of SO2pp.

I also ordered some from my wife who worked at a Chain of dealerships , Honda use them and so did Porsche on the boxster.
They are a very different tyre as i found out , first no rim protector so look pants and the belting in very different and is meant for heaver cars .
I was told by people who know that they are likely to chuck you off , i would there advise you send them back as i did and find some nearly new S02 Pole Position in the classified , there was a bloke selling 4 new in rappers Pole Position S02 which is what they are . They also used none Pole Position S02' on early Griff's but again these are different to the other fore-mentioned tyres.

Thanks everyone for your comments, My current rears are marked as Potenzas PP
which are great,The wear bars are showing just but seem to have a bit of life still evenly on the tread. The guy at the tyre place phoned Bridgestone Tech dept whilst I was there and confirmed the pps no longer manufactured but recommend the ones ordered he says its a common tyre for Honda.Porsche,Bmw. Tvr. Do I or dont I, or hello Toyo?

has anyone ever come across an insurance being void becuase of tyre speed rating?

With the highest UK speed only 70 mph how can it make it void?? Surely any production tyre for the road will be able to cope with this speed.

I would be challenging any such claim if it existed....

I also live in the Wakefield area. I have enquired at Motorworld on Northgate re. Toyos. If you are looking for a couple of tyres then it is worth giving them a shout.

They usually have special deals on so might be able to save a few quid. They are also open to a bit of negotiation. If you have a bit of tread left, then you could hold out for the offers they have from time to time.

Worth a punt.
