Hi All, sorry if these seem like basic none technical questions!

First of all, am i missing any places online to hunt for Chimaeras?
I have-
Pistonheads Classifieds
Auto Trader
Car and Classics
TVR Car Club
Ebay

Secondly, how do you pronouce 'Chimaera'? Because i've heard numourous different pronunciations of it. I've heard-
Chi-mare-ra
Kai-mere-ra (As in the virus and Greek monster)
Chim-air-rea
Kai-air-ma

Thanks

Matt

I'd probably leave out the extra 'r' - Kai-mere-a - but I've heard loads of versions!

http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/chimaera - found on a previous thread - you can hear the word spoken by clicking on the speaker (a bit American though!)

Think you've covered most of the bases for looking for a car (I'm guessing that the TVR/sportscar dealers advertise on Autotrader - if not check them too!) - the only one you've missed is getting a third party to source one for you - someone like www.jamesagger.com - they should be able to check it over etc so you don't buy a lemon.

Hope that helps
Alex

Its none of them. It's CHIMP as in

rofl

On your where to buy from list should be James Agger
I've bought both of my Griffiths from him and if you search this forum you'll find he has an excellent reputation.

What model are you looking for and how much do you want to spend? I am trying to shift mine in a hurry as I move house in a few days and have no where to put it. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/193763.htm

The "Chimp" was a Chevron based Imp/Stiletto. Not a Chimaera.

Hi Pulling Power,

I'm afraid i think your car is a little over my budget, i'm ideally looking for a 1997-1999 450 Chimaera with ~40-50k miles on the clock for around £10,000 in about September time

Thanks

Matt
