Day after day I come back and read the Chimaera postings - sharing all the good times and feeling sympathy when things aren't going quite as well as they should. Trouble is I sold my reason for being here two weeks ago and feel that Ted or Big Al should offer some sort of counselling service. How do I give it up? I can't let go. OMG what have I done? Anyone in the Vienna area (yes that's Vienna as in Austria) seen my starmist blue 450? As an indication of how sad I've become I've even started checking the spotteds page...just in case. God knows why, I must have been driving an invisible Chimaera during the last 5 years, never once getting spotted hehe

frown Even I'm sad now!! cry Never thought you'd actually do it. It was only the third Tiv I'd driven before buying mine and was on my shortlist of two!! For everyone who hadn't seen it, it was a peach of a Chim. Did the spare set of black mats go with it? smile If not, I'll be down ASAP and offer some counselling - if that doesn't work, you'll just end up even more regretful biggrin Nick .

TJK, I will place a welcome to Vienna badge on the back of my Chimaera, where you are most likely to see it when you are in Vienna!

For Chris and TJK, if you want to share the pride of TVR ownership plus a beer or two just let me know when you will arrive to Vienna!

Hi nikman, I bought this car from Nick who regrets knowing the car to be far away. Yes she is a wonderful lady and makes me feel to take her around, and of course I want to know it when there were admirers in the past.

I sold my Chimaera in February (or my wife did) after I got my Tuscan.
I still always read in here as it keeps me in touch with things and I can occasionally offer
some hopefully helpful piece of information.

Plus I still miss my Chimaera. I had to sell to pay for the Tuscan rebuild etc.

Hope you enjoy and have lots of pleasure from it Michael - I nearly did!! Nick seemed to have had everything taken care of and 'sorted out'. He's obviously a big enthusiast (as he still seems unable to stay away from this forum!)biggrin - just the sort of guy you want to buy from.

By the way, the only reason that car is yours and not mine has nothing to do with that car but is entirely due to the other car I was looking at having air-conditioning which was quite high on my particular list of wants. Anyway, I'm pleased it's gone top an appreciative owner!! Nick (nikman)

Tried the Porsche thing, and it didn't work for me!
So I'm back with a chimaera 400HC.

After nearly two years with the Porsche, not one wave??? Not one horn, nothing????

On the way back from Plymouth with me new steed, got waves! horns! thumbs up, and people who just could not take their eyes off the thing. Women and children screeming in fear!(well not really) maybe I just thought they were?

The difference is stunning, you just feel like a god in the thing. Even my wife loves me more, I'm sure she does! (perhaps thats just being hopeful) she loves me anyway, so what the hell.

I'm off to Knebworth Sunday, provided Work do not call me in.
Hopefully meet some of you guys in the TVR car club park Section eh!!

gadgit.

Hi Nick (nikman)!

Thanks for your sympathy! I will well care after my Chimaera. Nick was a top owner and I will keep in touch with him. Sorry, but the black mats went with the sale.

So, one month later and I'm back here again!

And I have a plan...I'm going to buy another Chimaera next year, most likely a 99 or 2000 500. This will be a 12-18 month project and my objective is to complete and photo-document a no expense spared, full restoration including chassis refurb, re-wiring, engine rebuild and enhancement, suspension and braking mods, full leather and carpet retrim, new hood and with bodywork finished in candy apple red.

That should give me a good reason to keep coming back here!

Agreed. Even after selling your TVR - you'll still have TVR blood cells!
