Might seem like an obvious question but when is the interior light supposed to work ??!! Its just that mine never does !! Door open, ignition on and off, side lights on and off, one leg out of the car, tried all sorts, just doesn't work confused

The bulb appears to be fine, all contacts are good, no loose wires.

This might also seem obvious, but you don't actually say whether you have also checked the position of the slider switch on the light, ie not in the 'off' position.

Mine works but not bright enought to make much difference so i make sure its off all the time. one less thing to drain the battery.

There are three switch settings: permanently OFF, permanently ON and ON with either door open. The door switches in the sills operate a timer relay which keeps the light on for around 12 seconds after the door has been closed.

Check the connections to the light behind the panel by the nearside 'B' post.

Better to prise the switch out IMHO. You can check the bulb, test the wiring from there and make sure the switch contacts are not corroded.

I think they are normally on - off - door controlled, but there may be other versions.

Have you checked the fuse? It's a 15amp, 7th one down from the top of the board. It's shared with the a/c compressor where fitted. So if you have aircon and that's also not working for some unidentified reason.....
Nick.

Also there is a connector (IIRC) behind the passengers shoulder so you can "unplug" the hoop if you get it retrimmed or such like, this may of come apart.
