steering rack gaiters

hi recently greased my manual steering rack.returned home today and noticed a couple of piles of grease on my drive.looked at the gaiters and the drivers side is split and grease is ouzing out,is this grease normal or are there seals at the end of the rack that need replacing with the gaiter

I think you may have been a little over zealous with the amount of grease you put in, its overpressurised the gaiter when you have done a full lock turn and split it. IMHO
